College Project Management System
Abstract
Academic Project management is a major issue which is faced by many educational institutes in India, the main reason for this is there is no automated system followed in any institute. College management/staff gathers all the project reports and project sources from students and store them physically in some locations probably libraries. To overcome this practical problem and also to make the process easy we developed a secured intranet application which is useful for each and every institute. 
The application should allow the student to login and upload/enter all his details regarding project such as project abstract, White papers, SRS, PPTs, Sources etc…. All this details must be maintained in database. HOD or the head of the projects can directly search of any project. We must provide role based authentication in this project for high level security. User can view all the documents online.
Modules / Functionalities:
In this project we have 5 major roles:

1. Admin
2. HOD
3. Project in charge
4. Internal Guide
5. Student

Admin:
In this project Admin should have the all authority, i.e., he can add the role, stream, Academic year and Employee his Credential and Department. Admin have the all authority in this project

6. Add Department
7. Add Sub Department
8. Employee Credential
9. Add Employee
10. Upload Student Details

   Student:
Student can login and post all his project details and he can view his project details online.

1. Encrypted Login.
2. Upload project Details.
3. View all his project details.
4. Modify details.
5. View his project status.
6. Feed back

  HOD:  
Hod plays vital roles in our application projects posted by students are first viewed by hod if hod approves then only next level people can view the project details:

1. Encrypted Login* [Even In database also the values will not be exposed].
2. View Project details.
3. Approve project details
4. Auto project update (if HOD logs into site if there are any unread project details those things are highlighted in the main home page of user).
5. Project Feedback (HOD can give his feedback on projects which can be views by that project related student).
6. Downloading/Delete Project/Feedback.

Project In charge:
After project is accepted by HOD, the project in charge can view the project details.

1. View Project details.
2. Modifications in project (feedback).
3. Delete projects / Downloading documents.
4. Approve projects

Internal Guide:
After project in charge approve the project then internal guide can view the project details. They can have the command on the projects which are allocated to them.
